I first fell in love with the breed over 30 years ago when we rescued a nine month old Great Dane pup from a shelter. And even though his life was cut short due to grand mall seizures, his devotion and unconditional love taught me a great deal and my love for the breed became a life long obsesion. My disire to spread awareness and do my part to improve the breed, encouraged me to start breeding 18 years ago and I am still just as much, if not more, fasinated by this gentle breed today.

 

The Great Dane is best discribed as devoted, reserved, gentle, friendly, confidant and loving, Large and noble, the Apollo of dogs, certainly holds stature in the dog world. Apollo is the Greek God of the sun, the brighest fixture in the sky; and even though he looks imposing, the Great Dane is the best natured dog around! For all his size, he is sweet, affectionate, protective and loves to play with children.
